About Me

I am an artist, teacher, mother and sailor. I love water in all forms especially being immersed in it whether aboard of just splashing about. Much of my current body of work has to do with water, views of it, residue of it, experiences in it, trails of it, memory of it. I also like depicting wind and thinking about how to render it.

Teaching Philosophy and Education:

I believe everyone is born with an innate creative ability, and that art is a process of exploration and discovery. My role as teacher is to guide lifelong learners toward their creative goals. Through practice, artists inform our world not only about themselves but become the voices of their generation, the visionaries of our future. I received a MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Currently I teach Secondary Art at Raffles American School in Malaysia.
